Suicide cleanup involves the careful removal of blood and bodily fluids following a suicide, along with full decontamination and restoration of the affected space. This is among the most emotionally difficult situations a family faces, and the work requires both technical precision and genuine sensitivity to what they're going through.
Families and property owners in Iowa City, IA reach out once the scene has been released, usually still processing what happened and not wanting to handle the aftermath themselves. We take that entirely off their plate, coordinating directly with anyone who needs to be involved so the family isn't managing logistics on top of everything else.
We assess the affected area, contain it, and remove any contaminated material that can't be safely cleaned – flooring, drywall, or furniture depending on what occurred. Everything is disposed of following biohazard regulations. We disinfect remaining surfaces with hospital-grade solutions and treat for odor where needed, working quietly so the process is as unobtrusive as possible.
Cost depends on the extent of the affected area and how much material needs removal versus treatment in place.
If your family is facing this in Iowa City, IA, call (945) 378-5179 – we handle everything with the discretion it deserves.
